New Year New Goals

It’s 2018 already! For a lot of people, it seems like 2017 was a rough year. I know I definitely had some rough patches. Thankfully, we can still use the “new year new me” mantra just about everyone takes up on New Year’s Day.

My resolutions for 2018 are pretty simple:

  1. Stop cursing. With a baby on the way, I don’t want them talking like a sailor. I know children don’t start talking right away, but it’s best if I get those words out of my every day vocabulary now so I’m not regretting it later.
  2. Lose weight. This is everyone’s goal, but my mom and I are in a challenge. Both of us complain about our weight all the time, so why not make it fun? We both plan on doing Weight Watchers, which has worked great for several of our friends and family. It won’t hurt me to follow their basic rules while pregnant because it’s encouraging me to get outside to exercise as well as make smarter food choices.
  3. Read more books. I have filled up our bookcase to the point of needing another one. I’m sort of a book hoarder of books I haven’t read. I want to change that. I challenged myself to reading one book a month and sharing it with y’all.

What are your resolutions? I would love to hear them!

Don’t forget to eat your black eyed peas on New Year’s Day and God Bless ♡

First of all congratulations! You must be very excited about becoming a Mother 💞✨

I love the goals you have set out! I’m sure you will be able to achieve them all. I’m exactly the same with books haha I keep collecting new ones, yet I haven’t read any of them 😂

    Hi Holly
I think I am late on the cursing part and actually need to read more books. Congratulations with your bundle of joy on the way.

Congratulations for having a baby on the way! Don’t be too hard on yourself with weight goals. New moms are fierce and deserve to cut themselves a little slack! The cursing thing made me laugh; I need to adopt that same goal. I’m also a military wife! It’s great to know there’s other bloggers out there who share my same sort-of lifestyle!
